Welcome to the School of Psychology. Currently, the School of Psychology is housing two Departments, which are: The Department of Counseling Psychology, and the Department of Clinical Psychology. The Department of Counseling Psychology consists of Diploma in Counseling Psychology, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Counseling and Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. The Department of Clinical Psychology consists of Masters in Clinical Psychology (MCP) and PhD in Clinical Psychology. The overall objective of the School of Psychology is to provide an Integrative, Psycho-medical, Practitioner, and Scholarly Model. The School aims at accessing holistic services to all humankind through Clinicals, Scholarship, Psychological Assessment/Psychometric Testing, Psychodynamic and Professional Ethical Standards, Therapeutic Insight, Empathy, and Excellence. The School strives to be a Center of Excellence in fostering psychological understanding, promoting mental well-being, and cultivating compassionate leadership. This aligns with Daystar University’s Mission of providing learners with higher quality education that equips them to grow spiritually and intellectually, enabling them to serve as transformational agents in their psychology professions and give Christ-centered servant leadership in the home, church and society. The School exists to empower, guide, and mentor individuals through evidence-based psychological practices, integration of faith and learning, and the advancement of scholarly inquiry and human connection.
